A Soft Place to Land:
A Spring Equinox Retreat

A Women’s Day Retreat in West Marin

Rest as Resistance.

We are living through what I hope is the collapse of oppressive systems that have devastated our planet and caused immeasurable harm, mass violence, genocide, and profound suffering. The collective nervous system is feeling this, and so are our bodies.

From my own experience and from working closely with clients, what I see is a deep, shared ache of grief. A sense of being gaslit by forces beyond our control. Helplessness. Confusion. Anger. Emotional manipulation. Despair. This lives in the body, as pain, inflammation, exhaustion, alongside a frantic attempt to make sense of something that should never be happening.

What I keep returning to is this: we are being asked to do something incredibly difficult and deeply profound.
We are being asked to tend to our nervous systems in real time.

This moment calls us back to our practices, not as self-improvement, but as devotion. As a habitual act of prayer. And now, it’s bigger than just personal healing. It’s for the collective good.

A regulated nervous system allows us to think clearly.
To stay present.
To care for ourselves, our families, and our communities.
To organize, strategize, love, and respond with compassion.

If we all took proper time to rest, this capitalist world would collapse. That’s how powerful rest is, and how fragile these systems truly are. When we slow down, when we become more present, we feel more. And feelings are some of the strongest motivators we have. No wonder urgency is so normalized. No wonder we’re kept busy, overwhelmed, sick, distracted, locked in chaos, fear, and at opposition with one another.

We are living in a culture that constantly asks us to do more, become more, call more in.
Even our healing spaces have begun to feel like places of effort and self-optimization.

This retreat is an intentional pause from that.

A soft place to land. A safe place to rest.
Where your anger is welcome, where your overwhelm is welcome, where you anxiety is welcome, where your grief is welcome.

As the Spring Equinox honors the balance of both light and dark - the good, the hard, the messy, the beautiful, let us bring our tears and our pain, our joy and our hearts. Let us plant ourselves even more firmly in the soil of earth’s wisdom, abundance, and most importantly love. Lean in to let the Earth hold us, regenerate us. So let us rest, regulate, and gently re-attune to ourselves, the Earth, and one another. Remembering we are not separate from nature, we are OF IT.

What This Retreat Is

This is not a retreat about fixing yourself or becoming someone new.

It is a space for:

  • Nervous system regulation as a foundation for clarity

  • Slowing down as an act of care and resilience

  • Rest as a collective, relational practice

  • Listening to the body without pressure or expectation

  • Coming together as women - to honor each other, and to honor our true Mother, the Earth.

You don’t need intentions, goals, or answers.
You don’t need to know what’s next.
You only need to arrive as you are.

The Experience

Our time together unfolds at a slow, spacious pace designed to support grounding and ease. Quiet moments, shared presence, and spaciousness. Everything is an invitation. Nothing is required of you. (See retreat outline further down).

Why Rest as Resistance?

In a culture shaped by urgency, choosing rest is a radical act. It allows us to listen more deeply, respond with clarity, and remain embodied. Rest is not disengagement. Slowing down is not giving up. It’s how we keep the inner flame alive. We resist by actively tending to self-care as strategy, not as indulgence but as an act of resilience. When we rest together, we hold space for collective resilience and re-connection.

This Retreat Is For You If…

  • You’re tired of constantly working on yourself

  • You’re angry, overwhelmed, fearful, anxious

  • You’re holding everything for everyone and it’s time to tend to your own needs

  • You’re want slowness, softness, and nervous-system safety

  • You’re craving like-minded community without pressure or performance

  • You feel disconnected from yourself, your body, your inner knowing

  • You want to cultivate a deeper connection to the Earth through practices and rituals

If your body softened while reading this, that’s enough of a yes ;)

You are warmly invited.

A GentlE Flow of the Day

10:00am – Arrival
Arrive slowly and settle into the land. You’ll be welcomed with a thoughtfully crafted herbal infusion to support the arc of the day, alongside a protein-forward adaptogenic bite designed to ground your nervous system and arrive fully.

10:30am – Opening Circle & Journaling
We’ll gather in circle for a gentle welcome, coupled with a gentle flower essence meditation. Followed by a guided journaling practice - creating space to reflect, process our emotions, and see what is needing to emerge. This is an invitation to listen inward and be held in community.

11:15am – Guided Hike & Gentle Movement
Together, we’ll take a guided hike (moderate 3-4 mile hike) up to the ridge via a private trail, allowing movement, breath, and nature to open the body and our senes. We’ll then transition into a juicy stretch and intentional movement practice on the redwood platform yoga deck. Followed by conversation around Spring energetics + practices and rituals that support vitality during this season.

1:30pm – Seasonal Farm-to-Table Lunch
A seasonal lunch prepared by Chef Taylor of The Golden Yarrow, featuring vibrant, farmer’s market Spring ingredients that reflect the season and support sustained energy for the afternoon.

3:00pm – REST
Too many times, I have been on a retreat that is so micro-managed and my favorite moments are the in-betweens. Where I can take a deep breath, and actually sink in. So I want to offer that. Spacious, unstructured time to integrate and follow your curiosity. Swim, sauna, sunbathe, nap, read, write, pull tarot, REST, explore the land, or create. Connect with one another, or chose to stay inward. Trusting and honoring your unique needs.

+ for further indulgence - a nourishing, feel-good treat will be served during this time.

4:30pm – Closing Circle
We’ll return to circle for a closing practice, offering gratitude to the land, the season, and one another.

5:00pm – Departure
Depart feeling nourished, grounded, and deeply rested.
